Meet Our Team

Niall Norton – CEO at Openet

Niall Norton

Niall Norton joined us in March 2004 as CFO before becoming CEO in 2006.  A winner of the European Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011, Niall has steered Openet to become the one of the world’s leading BSS providers and the largest software company in Ireland. Prior to joining us, he served as CFO of O2 Ireland from 2001 to 2004. Niall holds a degree in Commerce from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Joe Hogan – Founder & CTO

Joe Hogan

Joe Hogan is Openet’s founder. He has served as Chief Technology Officer since the company was founded in 1999. Joe is the principal architect of Openet’s product portfolio and has over 25 years of software engineering experience. Joe is responsible for technology innovation at Openet with oversight over Openet’s CTO architecture office; Openet’s Intellectual Property office, which manages the creation of Openet’s patents portfolio; and Openet Labs, a software research group based in Ireland and Malaysia from which new Openet products emerge.

Damien Artt – Global VP Sales, Channels & Alliances

Damien Artt - Global VP Sales

Damian Artt is the Global Vice President of Sales for Openet. Damian joined Openet in 2016 and brought with him more than 20 years of experience in direct sales, channel sales, and operations. Prior to joining Openet, Damian served as SVP Worldwide Sales at MobileIron. Preceding this role, he served as President and General Manager of Polycom Americas. Damian joined Polycom after eight years at Wind River, where he served as SVP of Worldwide Sales and Services. Damian earned a BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Queens University, Belfast

Jon Ross – Global VP Product & Solutions Management

Jon Ross

Jon Ross joined Openet in April 2010 and currently serves as our Global Vice President of Product and Solutions Management. Prior to this, Jon has served in a number of roles for Openet, including Director of Product Management and Solutions Delivery Director in our Alliances group. Jon has nearly 20 years’ experience working in telecommunications for operators and ISV’s, working on OSS/BSS projects and products in England, New Zealand and Ireland. Jon holds an honours degree in computer science from Durham University, England.

Barry Marron – Global VP Marketing

Barry Marron

Barry Marron is the Global Vice President of Marketing for Openet. Barry joined Openet in 2009 and ran the Company’s PR and analyst, marketing operations and product marketing teams before joining the Openet leadership team in 2015. As GVP of Marketing Barry ensures that Openet’s marketing sets the industry standard and ensures that  the Company is seen as a leader and innovator in the market. Prior to joining Openet, Barry worked in IT and communications companies in Canada and Ireland. Barry is a graduate of Dublin City University’s Bachelor of Business Studies program

Marc Price, CTO for the Americas, at Openet, has more than 20 years of experience working extensively with customers to define strategies and deploy world-class solutions for some of the largest North American and European service providers to achieve business success.

Paul Saunders – VP of Sales EMEA & APAC

Paul Saunders

Paul Saunders joined Openet in 2007 and currently serves as our VP of Sales EMEA & APAC. Paul has 18 years of experience serving in a number of Sales and Market Development roles. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies and Masters of Science in Information Technology.

Steve Pozzobon – VP Sales – Americas

Steve Pozzobon

Steve Pozzobon joined Openet in 2012 and currently serves as our VP of Sales Americas. Prior to joining Openet, Steve was Operations Director for Cisco Systems. Steve holds an MBA from University of Western Ontario and a BScEE, Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Shira Levine – Director of Product Management

Shira Levine

Shira Levine joined Openet in 2016 as Director of Product Management for the company’s policy solution. Prior to this position, Shira was Research Director at Infonetics Research, where she managed the firm’s service enablement and analytics research practice, and has also held analyst and marketing roles at IDC, Stratecast Partners and the TM Forum. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Amherst College, Massachusetts, US, and a Master of Journalism (MSJ) from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, US.

Martin Morgan – VP Marketing

Martin Morgan

With 25 years’  experience in mobile communications software, Martin has worked in mobile billing software since the early days of the industry. In that time he’s spoken at over 50 telecoms conferences worldwide and had a similar number of articles published in the telecoms trade press and served on trade association and company boards. At Openet Martin is responsible for marketing thought leadership and market interaction.

Cyril Dolan – GVP Business Development & Strategic Alliances

With over 27 years’ experience in the Telco industry, Cyril  has been with Openet for over 11 years and is currently GVP Business Development for Channels & Alliances.  Previously Cyril was VP Professional Services for EMEA/APAC at Openet. Prior to Openet, Cyril held senior exec and technical positions in Irish Telco companies namely Tsunami Photnics, Euristix (acquired by Marconi) and Baltimore Technologies. Cyril is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin

Christopher Legg – Director of Business Development, Alliances

Christopher Legg

Chris Legg has enjoyed working in telecommunications for the last 27 years and with Openet since 2012. He works with business and technology partners to complement the Openet product portfolio and deliver combined solutions through Indirect Channels, Solution Partners and Strategic Alliances in general. He has previous business experience with France Telecom, Marconi, Ericsson and Intune Networks which has enabled a broad understanding of the communications market and the challenges that operators face.

Aidan Molloy – Senior Director, NFV Strategy Openet Accelerate

Aidan Molloy

Aidan Molloy joined Openet in 2012, and currently serves as our Senior Product Evolution Manager since 2015. He is responsible for Openet Products in the NFV framework and more specifically  MANO layer with Openet Weaver™ as a G-VNFM. Prior to this, Mr Molloy has served in a number of roles for Openet, including Technical Sales Support and Operations. Before joining Openet, Mr. Molloy held a number of technical and support positions at Jinny Software, and was a SS7/SIGTRAN Developer for Dialogic. Mr Molloy holds a B.Sc in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Maynooth University.

Peter Haraszti – Director of CTO Labs at Openet

Peter Haraszti

Peter Haraszti is the Director of CTO Labs, at Openet. Peter is leading the research activities in Openet with a focus on NFV, SDN, and network automation. Peter joined Openet in 2007, prior to joining the CTO office in 2015, he was responsible for driving the architecture of Openet’s Policy Manager in Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Technical University Budapest.

Jessica Hughes – Marketing Administrator

Jessica Hughes has been working in Openet for 2 years. Jessica currently works as the Marketing Administrator, coordinating Mobile World Congress logistics, marketing campaign reporting and social media management. Jessica is currently doing a Postgraduate Diploma in Management and Marketing in Dublin Institute of Technology and has a background in classical music and performance.

Nicola Kelly – Senior Marketing Executive

Nicola Kelly is a senior marketing executive at Openet. She manages marketing operations, executing marketing communications and dealing with all the major publications for PR and promotion. Nicola also organizes Openet’s participation at Mobile World Congress and runs the Openet website. Nicola holds a BSc in Marketing, Innovation and Technology from Dublin City University.
